From this moment our schedule said: catch as much sun as possible, lay on the beach and plan Sofias special day. When we arrived at the caravan park, we got an amazing offer for a tour to white heaven beach, we just couldn't resist. The day we arrived we just went through the very touristy town and saw the beautiful port. The next day we grabbed our snorkels and goggles and joined a happy touristgroup in a ocean rafting boat with a overly friendly tour guide.
|Andy does some stretching. ;)|
We hoped to see some wales, or dolphins on the boot, but we haven't been that lucky.
It was so, so freezing! Andy and I are so spoiled after the hot time in Kununurra, I think we feel the cold so much more now. When we arrived at the spot where we should snorkel, it was still quiet cold and we needed lots of overcoming (can I say it like that?) to jump in the freezing water! But it was so worth it! We enjoyed it a lot to see gods creation this was, great barrier reef is just amazing with it's colours and beauty.
After the snorkeling we went to white heaven beach. The colours of the water are just incredible! I've never seen such a kind of blue. No wonder it has this name! We had our lunch there and could explore the island a little bit. During the lunch we got to talk with a german couple, we liked them a lot, they were so bubbly and happy and just the kind of people you can have the most fun with. But Kai stressed a lot to go with Sabrina to the lookout and just couldn't wait to go. So they left and we sat there a bit longer and went then also to the lookout. Found Sabrina there speechless (I don't think it's a usual situation you can find her in) and a overwhelmed Kai. Kai just proposed to her! And she sayed yes (before falling speechless ;)! That was pretty special for us too!
The next day was Sofias 20th Birthday! I forgot to take any photos, but our Campsite looked nice and colourful with lots of ballons and we had a birthdaycake. We spend the day on the lagoon and got some delicious pizza which we ate with ocean view.
